About this piece
Elegant small Louis XVI style side table, probably made in France in the early 20th century.
Its slender silhouette combines a mahogany structure and mahogany veneer with a delicately veined white marble top, surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. It opens with a front drawer and features an intermediate shelf, practical for holding books or small objects.
Its tapered legs, fine proportions and brass details give it a lot of elegance without weighing down the space. Versatile, it can be used as a bedside table, end table, stand or small serving table.
Antique piece sold as shown. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
Condition
Good antique condition. The wood and brass show some marks, scuffs and traces of time visible in the photographs, which contribute to the patina of the piece. The marble shows slight nuances and marks consistent with its age.
