About this piece

Elegant vintage convertible coffee table, probably dating from the 1950s-1960s, in the spirit of post-war Scandinavian and modernist furniture.

This ingenious piece stands out for its lift-top and extendable system: in its low position, it is used as a coffee table; once the mechanism is deployed, it can be transformed into a high table, ideal for entertaining, dining, or creating a modular dining area in a small interior.

The light wood top features a beautiful veneer pattern, with a sober and bright design typical of mid-century furniture. The tapered compass legs, the light structure and the visible black metal mechanism reinforce its vintage and functional character.

A piece that is both aesthetic and practical, perfect in a retro living room, a Scandinavian apartment, a studio, a holiday home or a contemporary interior looking for an authentic touch.

Period: 1950s-1960s.

Style: vintage, Scandinavian, mid-century.

Material: veneered light wood, wood structure, metal mechanism.

A rare and clever table, ideal for lovers of clever vintage furniture, both decorative, warm and perfectly suited to modern interiors.

High position and open top: 98x120 h74cm.

Condition

Good overall condition from use, with traces of time, small scratches and superficial marks visible on the top and edges. The mechanism is perfectly functional.
